We moved to Amissville in 2021 after nearly two years of searching for the right place to call home. When we finally found this property, we knew it was something special - land that gave us the opportunity to build a small farm and create the life we had been dreaming about.

Between raising chickens, goats, and hogs, and slowly bringing our vision to life, we found ourselves visiting local wineries and breweries whenever we had the chance.

There was something we loved about those places...the way they allowed you to pause, take a breath, and step away from the busyness of everyday life. There’s nothing quite like ending a long day with a good drink, surrounded by people you enjoy.

But we also noticed something else. While we were able to relax and unwind, our daughter didn’t have much to do.

Her excitement would fade quickly, and those moments that felt like an escape for us didn’t quite feel the same for her.

That’s when the idea for Screaming Goats Farm & Brewery really took shape.

We wanted to create a place where families didn’t have to choose. 

A place where parents could relax, and kids could play, explore, and stay just as engaged.

A place where everyone could enjoy their time...together.

Screaming Goats is more than a farm or a brewery - it’s something we’ve poured our time, energy, and heart into.
